Dragon flies

Post by Wim van Egmond »

A dragon fly. I think this species (Four-spotted Skimmer - Libellula quadrimaculata) also lives in the U.S. Interesting to see if there are morfological differences!

Has anyone of you photographed it? I have photographed these for the first time. Fun to do! But not easy:-) Not as many species as in for example Tom's region. But other wise I would not have known where to begin:)

The second image was combined from 3 images. Too little depth of field.

Excellent pics Wim. The stacked one came out really nice. The backgrounds and the one blade of grass show off the dragonfly very well :)

Thanks friends!

Now I am only waiting for a Dragonfly that I can photograph in a way that I have everything in focus. :)
