Greeting from Dallas & "Microscope Mania" Campt at St. Mark's School. We have just started up this week and have been recording all sorts of things under the microscope using Moticam 2000 cameras. This AM we encounterd lots of rotifers including the one pictued here (with a neighboring vorticella)....... We suspect it is a Brachionus Rotifer, but would be interested in the opinions of folks here. The age of our campers runs from 4th grade to 8th graders. Thanks in advance for your help!
Greetings from Microscope Mania Camp!

It could be a Brachionus rotifer but I can't see the foot, it could be retracted. If it does not have a foot it could be a Keratella.
