Does anyone have a new D200 camera?
I'm considering buying one, but I would like to hear some comment from someone who already has it.
Anyway, here in Germany it's quite difficult to get one now, because they're on backorder in any shop, as they sell too good.
I have a D100 that I use both on the microscope and for photography.
I would especially like to hear something about image (shadow) noise, noise at higher iso setting, or with long exposure times.
And about faulty pixels that produce color spots. The D100 always has some of them. These pixels are not "dead", but they have much higher dark current than the surrounding ones, giving these spots even with medium exposure times (1/10 s) at higher speed settings.
Thanks for any information!

I just got a D200 last week in the UK.
First impressions is that it is a first class camera. I've not noticed any dead pixels yet. Noise is relatively low even at higher ISO settings. I've used ISO 800 quite a bit without the need to do any noise reduction in software. I haven't really had it long enough to get to specific about the many features, but I'm happy with the initial results.
If you own some of the Sigma HSM lenses, they have a fault where the AF-ON button does not work on the D200. AF works OK when your press the shutter button half way. Sigma say it is a firmware bug in their lenses, not the D200. They have a program to fix the bug, though it might not always be free.
I've not taken many images through the microscope yet, but here are a few links to images that I have taken. All these shots were taken using the Mirror Up shooting mode.
