cheap macro gear

Post by Guest »

Since macro equipment is expencive i am looking for other ways to perfect my photos. It would be nice if any of you are doing the same thing, to share some photos and comments about home made equipment. I made Macro LED ring and slave flash trigger with manual setting of preflashes.

Macro LED ring. Made out of 10 LED and sewer tube (55mm), attached on kenko extension ring. It cost me about 15$

This is Digital Slave Flash Trigger with manual setting of preflashes. Usually it is set to 2x, which works well on my FZ-5 with ETTL. When using red eye removal, i set it to 5x. It cost me another 15$

Right now i am making two flashes from old cameras, to use with trigger. Hopefully i would get good light from both sides of the object.

I am also making diffuser for internal flash. Hopefully it would be a folding one, for easy carrying.

Comments are really welcome, but mostly i am interested in your gear.

tnx
