Hi ya' guys, :D If y'all live in very humid climates the ERR99 is pretty common. AFAIK ERR99 is a lens to camera communication error. I don't know of anything else that causes it. If you are using some older, 3rd party lenses (especially Sigma lenses) you will get ERR99 messages unless Sigma is will...

Thank you all for the great replies :!: :D Let me explain my feelings about backgrounds...Basically, I approach a subject in two ways. 1) I approach the subject with an "artistic eye" and 2) I am more and more approaching a subject with a "commercial eye". These two ways of approaching the subject c...

Hi ya' George, :D

I don't know what kind of fly this is, either, but you made a beaut of an image of it. I, too, think you handled the noise well in this ISO 800 image. Cool :!: :D

Hi ya Doug, :D That 64 is distracting though but a good photograph just the same. Please excuse Ken's lack of photographic history. Of course, this is the famous group of photographic mushrooms known as "The f. 64 Group". :D (I can hear Ansel spinning in his grave as I write this :!:  :D ) Be...

Hi ya' Doug, :D

Those long pedipalps really are a clue as to why the order of harvestmen is named "Phalangida". "Phalangida" is derived from "phalanges" or fingers. A nice and informative image, Doug. :D

Hi ya' Ken, :D
Besides eating, insects do the tango best. :D
When I was in college our genetics professor stated that living organisms are "simply life support for genes". It seems there is a considerable amount of truth in that statement.

Hi ya' Ken, :D

I'm not sure this is a wheelbug nymph. Wheelbugs have the "wheel" on the thorax and these spines appear on the abdomen. I do think it is some sort of assassin bug nymph, though. Nice image but it looks a bit hot on my monitor. :D

Best regards as always, my friend. :D
