Great shots Sven.

I am saving up for one of those MPE-65 Macro lens. I can't wait to get my hands on one, Just imagine the Green Jumping spiders captured with this lens. They should look great, Particularly the Male Green Jumping Spider with that cool hair do.

Phillip, you can order the Novofles setup with either two shorter or two longer arms. I think the two shorter arms will work better for the MT-24 and you'll save some weight. However, this is just a guess (never tried the shorter arms as I was working with 2 420s). Hi Sven, I see that. They might s...

Hi All. I found a online dealer here in Australia that sells the bracket mentioned. www.mainlinephoto.com.au Thanks for the suggestions. I will be looking at this setup. I just have to decide which one. The one listed above looks great, but is a little heavy. I have found another made by the same co...

Hi Tom,
Thanks for that.

I been experimenting a little with my macro flash setup. I am very happy with my macro flash. it is great & makes these macro shots a lot easier. because of the flexibility I have with the settings on my camera.

Hi Sven, Thanks for the link & the suggestion. I think this is just what I need. Bit worried about the weight. I see one is 900grams & the flexible arm is over a kilo. I have a repititive injury in my right wrist, I am a bit concerned with the extra weight. But than I will be able to hold the camera...

Red Bug indentification & Query on Macro flash bracket

Hi, Does anyone know what insect this is? I thought it might be a assasin bug, but I am not certain. I experimented with my MT-24EX twin macro flash for this photo. Taking one flash of mount on front of lens & hand holding of the the side & slightly behind the insect. Works great for this. apart fro...

Hi, Here's a couple of Green Jumping Spiders from Australia. Taken with my Canon 30D, Canon 100mm USM Macro & MT-24EX twin macro flash gun. All photos handheld, set to manual on both camera & Lens. Flash set to ETTL. These Jumping Spiders I find very curious, I had both spiders jumping on my hand. I...

Hi Ken,

I have no idea what sort of beetle that is.
All I can say is that it's taken in Australia.

Hi, Yes I see what you mean about the flash. I think I might of had 1 to 4 in the flash ratio. I must try 2 to 1 next time. Than again it might have something to do with the fact that I had my camera set to 400iso instead of 100iso. I did not notice this at 100iso.
