The crop is awesome! Do you mean that the original shot is NOT a crop? I didn't realize the 150, even on a 1.6 crop body, would get that close!

Reminds me of a giant yellow brain in a bad sci-fi movie! :-)

A really high definition photograph, both of them. :D The top one reminds me of someones butt peeking out of their jeans though. :lol: All kidding aside though Jody, these are some really sharp images, fantastic! :D

Great sharpness in the picture.
I know Anax junius is a big dragonfly, even though I've never seen one (not yet that is), but I believe the top picture is slightly cropped.
It must be a rather juveline dragonfly, as its eyes are rather pale. Nice control of flash with no disturbing highlights.

wow! could a regular macrolens get THAT close?
I was sure the first picture was a heavy crop!
It is a brilliant picture!! Sharp and for me very abstracthish
